About ETS
Emergo Train System (ETS) is an academic / educational simulation system used in several countries around the world for training and testing the preparedness and management of emergencies, major incidents and disasters.
ICRC colleagues from 18 country delegations joined together with colleagues from the First Aid and Prehospital Emergency Care and Hospital teams in Geneva for a 5 day training designed to equip them with the knowledge and skills to facilitate the development, dissemination and delivery of mass casualty plans. Collective experiences were shared and learned from with a blended multimodal learning approach which included using the EMERGO vertical table top tool to ‘stress and test’ systems, tools and processes with the aim of developing or improving mass casualty plans.
The ETS Competence center will arrange an ETS meeting for ETS Senior instructors and Educators at the next World Association for Disaster and Emergeny Medicine (WADEM) congress which will be held May 9-12 2023 in Killarney, Ireland.
