Decontamination at Hospital – Set Version 4 is now also available in Dutch. This training and testing resource is designed to support hospital decontamination organizations in preparing for and managing hazardous material incidents.
Purpose
The set provides a structured and realistic framework for both training and evaluation of hospital decontamination capabilities. It can be used in exercises, simulations, and competence development to ensure preparedness in handling contaminated patients.
Content
The material includes a comprehensive victim bank featuring patient scenarios exposed to a range of hazardous substances, including:
- Irritant gases (e.g., ammonia)
- Cyanide
- Nerve agents (e.g., Sarin)
These scenarios are developed to reflect realistic clinical presentations and operational challenges.
Development
The Dutch translation and customization of the material have been carried out in close collaboration with the Dutch ETS faculty in Groningen, ensuring high quality and relevance for local use.
